FUN BEE FACTS
A bee can visit 5,000 flowers in a day. Talk about busy! That’s why they’re known as “busy bees.”
There’s only one queen in a hive. She’s bigger than the rest and lays all the eggs—sometimes over a thousand in a single day!
Bees have smelly feet! When they land on a flower, they leave behind a scent that tells other bees, “I’ve already been here—no nectar left!”
Bees flap their wings over 200 times a second. That’s what makes their signature buzzing sound—like a tiny helicopter!

WHY BEES NEED PROTECTING
Imagine a world without crunchy apples, juicy strawberries, or yummy chocolate. Sounds a bit boring, right? That’s where bees come in—they’re tiny superheroes that help plants grow tasty food!
Bees fly from flower to flower, spreading something called pollen. It’s like a sprinkle of fairy dust that helps fruits and veggies grow. Without bees, lots of our favorite snacks would disappear. Even cows need bees—because bees help grow the grass and flowers cows munch on!
But here’s the buzz: bees are in trouble. Their homes are getting taken away, and sometimes they get sick from yucky chemicals called pesticides.
So what can we do to help them?
– 🌼 Plant bee-friendly flowers like lavender and sunflowers in your garden or on a windowsill.
– 🚫 Don’t squish or scare bees! They’re gentle and only sting when they’re super scared.
– 💧 Leave out a tiny bee bath. A shallow dish with stones and water helps them rest and sip.
– 🍯 Buy local honey. It supports beekeepers who take care of our buzzing buddies.
By helping bees, we’re helping plants, animals, and ourselves. It’s a sweet deal for everyone!
